We pride ourselves on our high quality service. Our 60-strong team of tutors have extensive industry knowledge and experience, plus a commitment to bringing out the best out in each and every student - and we're the only training provider to offer the support of a team of Progress Managers to keep learners on track with their studies and to provide information, advice and guidance.
Funded TrainingWe're funded by the Government which means we may be able to offer you and your staff subsidised Apprenticeship training depending on their current qualifications and eligibility. Input your requirements into our Funding Finder and see how we may be able to help. Apprenticeship training is funded by the Government for those who are employed for more than 16 hours a week and have lived or worked in the UK or European Union for the last three years.
Non-levy paying employers are now required to contribute 10% of the costs of training and learners are not legally allowed to pay this fee. Large employers can fund the entire cost through the Apprenticeship levy.
An Apprentice needs to be in training for at least a year and a day, which equates to 1,560 hours – or 30 hours a week – of employment. It is expected that 20% of these hours are spent completing off the job training. For more information see our New Employer Requirements for Apprenticeships guide.
We have the flexibility to fit in with your own requirements too - with training offered across the country and starting at any time throughout the year. Our courses typically involve attendance at study days one day per month and in between these days, learners complete assignments and carry out practical tasks in the workplace. They are supported with our Online Training Academy, a bespoke website providing all the resources for their course.
If you have six or more staff members wanting a qualification you can take advantage of the bespoke training we offer which can be arranged at your own workplace and at a time that is convenient to you. For more information call us on 020 3700 4294.
There are a lot of other ways Smart Training can also help your business:
Recruitment ServiceIf you have a vacancy that needs filling then Smart Training's recruitment service is on hand to help - and it won't cost you a penny. We can find just the right person to fill any role you might have and the service is free to employers and learners with the only condition being once you've employed the new member of your team they will need to enroll on one of Smart Training's courses. So whether you're looking for unqualified or qualified staff use this free service to help match you up with potential new employees. Call Jane Minney in our head office on 020 3700 4294 and chat through your requirements, or email her at email@example.com
If you are looking to employ an Apprentice you may be eligible for a Government incentive. Up until 1st August, 2017, the Government is offering AGE grants for companies employing less than 50 people and which are not paying the Apprenticeship levy to help them take on their first ever Apprentice aged 16-24 (or their first one for 12 months). Please note if any of your current staff (or those employed in the last 12 months) are training with Smart Training or another training provider they'll probably be funded under the Apprenticeship programme and therefore will count as an existing Apprentice. AGE grants apply to approved Apprenticeship frameworks and are not available for Apprenticeship standards.
Eligible employers must have a signed AGE 16 to 24 provider funding agreement and can claim a maximum of five AGE grants. Those holding a Conditions of Funding (Grant) employer funding agreement for Apprenticeships cannot have an AGE funding agreement and cannot claim AGE. For full terms and conditions see the National Apprenticeship website at http://www.apprenticeships.org.uk/Employers/Steps-... If you think you're eligible please contact us on 0203 700 4294 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for an application form.
Alternatively, if you don't need any new members of staff, we can help you out with an extra part-time resource for free. Smart Training has many young people taking part in the Traineeship programme who are looking for an unpaid work placement two days a week. This is a great opportunity to not only get an extra pair of hands in your business for free but also to give a young person a chance in life. The programme helps young people who have little work experience but are keen to find a job progress more quickly into the world of work. All you would need to do is to offer a work placement for two days a week for six weeks. We also always have enthusiastic learners looking for work placements - to find out more contact our Placements Team on 020 3700 4294.

I found the management courses very interesting. They equipped me with the skills to progress into things like risk assessments and budgeting. I wouldn't be in the role I am today without them!
